OpenTIN API is now available on the Azure Marketplace

Open Automation is pleased to announce the official launch of OpenTIN API on the Azure Marketplace, bringing automated TIN validation to organizations that operate within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem.

The Problem

Organizations operating under compliance frameworks such as CRS and FATCA face ongoing difficulties validating Tax Identification Numbers across different jurisdictions. Country-specific formats, entity vs. individual rules, and evolving OECD specifications make maintaining in-house validation logic costly and error-prone.

The Solution

OpenTIN API provides centralized TIN validation aligned with OECD CRS/AEOI specifications. Key capabilities include:

  • Validates TIN structure, format, and checksums by country
  • Supports international coverage based on official OECD specifications
  • Tracks specification versions and update dates for auditability
  • Designed for real-time integration into onboarding, KYC, and reporting workflows

Azure Marketplace Advantages

The Azure Marketplace availability enables organizations to deploy the API using standard Azure procurement, integrate into Azure-based pipelines, and benefit from consumption-based pricing with consolidated invoicing. Integration typically takes under 30 minutes with comprehensive documentation and code samples provided.

Target Industries

The service is designed for banks, financial institutions, fintech platforms, RegTech vendors, and organizations subject to CRS, FATCA, or similar reporting obligations.
